The Classroom Energy Diet Challenge

Cool Kids

Students wrote their ideas of needs and wants on sticky notes and as a group we created a T-chart. Our class gave up the computer and the iPads for the day. I was surprised to hear what students had to say during Reflection. Some students shared that they were actually happy to use books because the computer took too long, they got the information they needed from non fiction books and they were able to get info from pictures and words. Some students shared their disappointment with not using the computer. I guess they are learning that it's ok to have a different opinion from their friends.
