The Classroom Energy Diet Challenge

Errol Village P.S.

We started off our growing challenge by talking about plants in general and how they use the sunlight to create food for themselves which of course is useful for us but also how the essential part of that is to use carbon dioxide. We planted micro greens making our own little gardens of you strawberry containers and watch them grow over about a week and watched them photosynthesize as they turn green. We finished ofF by reviewing how burning fossil fuels create carbon dioxide and how that can lead to global climate change by affecting your atmosphere. Then we need to link to help plants grow using carbon dioxide and talked about current offsetting as a way to protect the environment from the problems associated with burning fossil fuels.
