Students researched the meaning of watts as a unit of energy. The discussed power draw and calculated their energy use for 2 days. They discussed energy efficient appliances and light bulbs and how they could reduce their energy use. They were able to save about 45KWH from day 1 to day 2 with an average of about 1.6KWh per students. We discussed sustainability of saving energy and the simple things they could continue to do to help save energy.
