We listed all the electronic items in the class then researched how many watts of energy they used. We multiplied them to calculate the total for the number of items we had, like 14 iPads at 2.5 watts each for a total of 35 watts. Then we totalled for all the items in the class. Finally we calculated how much we saved by turning off the smart board and lights. Wow! Out of a total of 13 650 watts used each day, we saved 7400!
