The Classroom Energy Diet Challenge

Errol Village P.S.

For this challenge we watch some videos on how different countries recycle materials and the specific processes of separation that is used to separate one material such as glass from other materials like a plastic or metal or paper. Groups of students were assigned to detail the steps by which processing occurs for each of the main groups that we chose which were paper glass plastic aluminum and cardboard. We then sequenced those steps in order from entering the facility as garbage truck full of recyclable materials to a flatbed truck caring out bales of separated items that will then go on to companies that are going to make consumer goods out of them.
