Finally a windy day! The class in a little bit of research on wind power and discuss the pros and cons related to its use. This is of particular interest to us because recently wind farms have been built in the area and have met a lot of opposition from the community. We build an anemometer out of k'nex and then waited for a windy day to test them out. Today we went around the schoolyard and found out that we needed someplace far away from the windbreak of the trees to have enough wind to make our anemometers spin.
