For this challenge we started off talking about what foods were available in our local area and what foods word. We also discussed what was available in wintertime versus summertime and how eating habits would have once been very different between those two seasons. Students were sent home to document one of the suppers that they had over the weekend and then to come up with a local version using only food that would be available locally. Finally students were asked to come up with a recipe of one of the foods that they enjoy that only used locally available foods.
