Lesson Plan

STUDENTS WILL USE RECYCLED MATERIALS TO CREATE ART DISPLAYS THAT ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO BE MORE ENERGY-AWARE.

COMPLETE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING OPTIONS. EACH OPTION IS WORTH THE SAME NUMBER OF POINTS. YOU WILL ONLY BE ABLE TO SUBMIT WORK AND GET POINTS FOR ONE OPTION.

OPTION 1: Art exhibit made out of recycled materials
Students will create an art exhibition in their classroom, school or community made entirely out of recycled materials.

OPTION 2: Energy-related sculpture made out of recycled materials
Students will choose an energy theme or subject and create a model or display of this theme made entirely out of recycled materials.


LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of this activity, students:

  • will have creatively portrayed a message in visual form
  • will have determined appropriate language and designs to attract the attention of fellow students, teachers and the community
