Lesson Plan

Students will use recycled materials to create art displays and encourage people to be more energy aware.

COMPLETE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING OPTIONS. EACH OPTION IS WORTH THE SAME NUMBER OF POINTS. YOU WILL ONLY BE ABLE TO SUBMIT WORK AND GET POINTS FOR ONE OPTION.

OPTION 1: Art exhibit made out of recycled materials
Students will create an art exhibition in their classroom, school or community made entirely out of recycled materials.

OPTION 2: Model or art project made entirely out of recycled materials
Students will work together as a group to create a model or art project made entirely out of recycled materials.


LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of this activity, students will:

  • creatively portray a message in visual form
  • determine appropriate language and designs to attract the attention of fellow students, teachers and the community
