The Classroom Energy Diet Challenge

We read the book, "The Human Footprint" by Ellen Kirk. It shows pictures of everything the average person will eat, use, wear, buy and throw out in their lifetime. It was pretty shocking for all of us to see what it looks like when it's all added up. We brainstormed ways to reduce our own carbon footprint. Next students used the carbon footprint printout or traced their own foot. On their foot print, they wrote down different ways to decrease their carbon footprint.We used these as inspiration for the tips we suggest in our video challenge.
