CG at the Canada Science and Tech Museum for Let’s Talk Energy Week

This week is the first ever, Canada-wide, Let’s Talk Energy Week. For seven days you’re invited to explore how energy is connected to your everyday life. This blog posts marks the third in a series of three to commemorate this week of energy awareness.

The Canada Science and Technology Museum has put together an energy exhibit that will blow your socks off.

Canadian Geographic visited the exhibit, called Energy: The Power to Choose, the celebrate the last day of Let’s Talk Energy Week.

Opened in July 2011, the exhibit has been informing kids on the sights, sounds and electrifying truths of energy consumption in Canada. The exhibit showcases renewable energy sources, such as nuclear, wind and solar, as well as the evolution of non-renewable resources, such as oil and coal.

In support of Let’s Talk Energy Week, the Canada Science and Technology Museum organized an eco-quest scavenger hunt, a giant energy-themed board game, and a reading of Robert Munsch’s book, Zoom.
