The Citizen Challenges are back!
For the ninth year in a row, classrooms from across Canada have participated in the Classroom Energy Diet Challenge by completing its various challenges and exploring all things energy-related! What is energy? How do we use it? And what can we do to ensure that Canadians and the rest of the world are making efforts to live sustainably and conserve energy on the daily?
This year, we have brought back our popular Citizen Challenges. We’ve taken two of our classroom challenges —Get Growing and What’s For Lunch—and adapted them for use inside the home, where physical distancing, self-isolation, and quarantine recommendations can be safely followed. Starting Monday, April 6, 2020 we will launch the first challenge, What’s For Lunch, here on the blog and on social media. You will have until Friday, April 10, 2020 (noon EST), to submit your entry over Twitter (@Energy_Lit), Facebook (@CanGeoEdu), or by email at [email protected] Make sure to visit the Classroom Energy Diet Challenge blog Monday morning to read up on how you can complete the What’s For Lunch challenge.
We will randomly draw three valid entries for each Citizen Challenge. Selected winners, if eligible, will be awarded a $100.00 Shell gift card.
To participate in the Citizen Challenge, you must be a resident of Canada over the age of 18. See the Rules and Regulations for more information.
