What’s For Lunch?

Completed

Description

We started this challenge just before the last school closure was announced. Students were placed in groups of 3-4 and created a meal that included an appetizer, side dish, a main, a dessert and an optional drink. We decided to call this "What's for Dinner?" instead of Lunch so that the meal can be bigger and more interesting. We discussed sourcing local markets in order to keep our carbon footprint small. This was a fun challenge for the class but proved to be a little challenging to complete as we had to work on it online instead of at school.

What’s Old is New Again

Completed

Description

Students brought in recyclable materials from home as well as items that they are no longer using. They were instructed to make a model or object of something. Some students changed their minds as they began working as they encountered some obstacles. They all enjoyed building/creating something entirely by themselves.
