We discussed what it meant to use and save energy. Students were curious about all the energy that they use. We completed the workshot and then sent our parents pictures to complete teh challange at home.

Description
We watched a video to learn about what a carbon footprint is. We then calculated our carbon footprint as a class and talked about all the different things that we do in a day that take up energy and contribute to our carbon footprint. We used a website called Park Kids Calculator. Each student then received the footprint worksheet and had to come up with one thing they can do to reduce the size of their carbon footprint.
