For this challenge we decided to help out and manage the pollinator garden that the school was already planning to do. We built beside the school greenhouse and plan to start planting pollinator flowers in the coming weeks. We also as a school have started a food garden to try to reduce the buying of processed and traveled food.

Pour relever ce défi, on a eu une discussion de classe à propos de la définition de l'empreinte écologique. Ensuite, tous les élèves ont répondu aux questions sur la site web https://www.footprintcalculator.org/ et on a discuté les résultats. Après que tout le monde a vu les résultats, on a discuté pourquoi, même la personne la plus environnementale dans la classe a reçu les résultats qui montraient qu'il faudra plus d'une terre si tout le monde vivait comme eux. On est arrivé à un consensus que oui, les actions individuelles sont importantes mais les lois d'un pays et la façcon dont l'énergie est produite joue un rôle beaucoup plus important que nos décisions individuelles. Après cette discussion, les élèves ont tous choisi une chose qu'ils changeraient pour diminuer leur empreinte écologique et ils ont écrit leur action sur une image de pied et on les a affichées dans la salle de classe.

Pour notre projet on a fait du recherche sur l'effect du electriciter et le carbon dioxide apres on a fait une power point pour montrer nos recherche a la class et on a fait plusieur heure sans electriciter pour sauver l'environment.

To complete this challenge, we thought of common wastes of electricity that provide little to no benefit when being used. We then took the six most common wastes and chose to present them.

We started by doing a lot of research on simple ways to help the Earth and wrote a little script with some inspirational sayings to encourage others to help. We then, recording clips of us showing negative and positive ways to help the Earth nd asked permission of our friends to record themselves saying the last sentence to show we are all in this together.

We presented a power point to are class to raise awareness. We also did an online test to see how much water we used and then did it again a week later to see if we could reduce the amount of water we used. During our presentation, we shared the online test with the class and all of the students completed the survey.
