A Green-Powered Canada

Completed

Description

We first listed all of the ways we get power in Canada. When then discussed the difference between renewable and non-renewable. We went back to the list and labelled each form of energy. We talked about the pros and cons of renewable and non-renewable energy and watched the videos that were supplied. Over the next two classes, students worked to research the energy source they found interesting and complete the questions from the PDF.

Buckle Up

Completed

Description

As a class, we discussed how people and products are moved around. Then we looked at the major ways of transportation, and the students noticed that they are very fossil fuel dependent, and we discussed why that is a problem. We watched and discussed a series of videos, and the students made a list of keywords for each video. We complied those keywords in a word cloud shaped like a tree.
