A Green-Powered Canada
We organized a litter pick up event in the neighbourhood for Earth Day. We organized it so an entire grade would be able to participate in the event. Due to various COVID-related restrictions, we were limited to one grade instead of the entire school participating in the event.
One Hour No Power
This is a class of 7 remote learners in grades 5 & 6. They completed the challenge on their own at home doing a variety of activities including playing with Lego, reading, or going outside.

This challenge started on World Water Day. The remote learners in this virtual classroom recorded their water-use activities at home on Day 1. We then talked about how to reduce our water footprint, and they were given the detailed water footprint calculator to complete with their families at home. The students then recorded their water use on Day 2 and we discussed which activities they found they could save water. The students calculated only their own water use not their families.
