We had a classroom discussions about the different types of transportation that we know of. The students then began to discuss the importance of reducing our carbon footprints and how transportation can help with this. Once we wrote all of our ideas down on the board the students began to create their artwork with the words we came up with as a class.

Story Time

Completed

Description

Our class discussed energy-related issues in the world and we also discussed some options to help reduce these problems. The class was able to make a connection with this challenge and the first challenge we completed which was the "Buckle Up Challenge". This can be seen in their stories as they relate them back to electric cars which was a big discussion during our Buckle Up Challenge.

Completed

Description

We had a classroom discussion about phantom power and watched a video to help the students understand what the concept of phantom power/energy is. After our discussions, the students grouped together and walked around the classroom to determine what was using phantom energy in our classroom. They then created maps to display this energy use.
