One Hour No Power

Description

We talked about the challenge. Students opted to start the day with no lights on. We now go at least an hour in the morning with no lights. When we did turn on lights we tried to use the least amount of light, usually finding that 1 of 3 banks of 3 florescent lights was plenty of light.

Water Works

Description

First we prepared for World Water Day by learning about the importance of water in our lives and the need to take care of our resource and conserve where and when we can. Next, students created posters to inform the audience about World Water Day and persuade the audience to conserve in a variety of ways. Many students also completed the home challenge to record their water use over 2 days, trying to lower their use.
